All drivers must have a valid Commercial Drivers License as required for the class and type of vehicle driven. The driver selection process must include the completion of an employment application, verification of employment references, motor vehicle record checks and drug testing as required by DOT. All bus drivers must: Be at least 23 years of age and be licensed a minimum of 5 years. Be no older than 72 years of age. Have current certificates or endorsements as required by DOT or the state agency responsible for bus regulations. Meet the MVR standards set below. Have a physician's statement if over 64 years of age.
